How Carol Jean got into Reiki

Carol Jean was taking a Dream workshop and noticed the teacher was advertising Reiki Classes.  Since she was curious, she began taking the classes.  Although she was skeptical at first, she knew she needed to practice and began working on friends.  She had several experiences which convinced her that Reiki worked.

One woman had broken her collar bone and was in a great deal of pain.  When Carol Jean offered to try Reiki on her, the woman was able to feel the heat from her hands through a heavy winter coat.  The following day, the woman felt so much better, she actually overdid and Carol Jean had to treat her again.

In a second incident, a young girl was at Carol Jean's home and was complaining of a sprained ankle which would prevent her from dancing in a  recital that evening.  After Carol Jean did Reiki on the girl, she began hopping around on the sprained ankle and was able to successfully perform in the recital that night.

After several experiences like this, Carol Jean decided to continue her Reiki studies.  Later she felt impressed to open her own practice.

Education

Carol Jean Miles has been involved in Energy Work since 2002.  She worked with a Shaman for several years and then began studying Reiki.  She became a Reiki Practitioner in 2004.  She has taken classes in Dream Work, Energy Medicine, and Light Triangles.  She became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2006.  She is a member of the International Association of Reiki Practitioners and the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM).  Carol also holds a BA in music and has done graduate work in music and in education.
